Do you Know how JD Link can Help with Maintenance?


If you aren’t sure what JDLink is, the short answer is that it equips certain tractors, foragers, and sprayers with an internet connection so you can view diagnostic and other information from your laptop, smartphone or tablet.

You can monitor engine performance factors such as engine RPMs, temperature, hours worked, and distance travelled. You can also monitor fuel factors such as fuel usage, fuel efficiency, fuel used while idle and more. You can see this in real time or over a period.

You can also monitor machine and maintenance alerts. There are sensors within the equipment that pick up routine maintenance issues such as when a filter needs to be replaced. The sensors also pick up more complicated issues requiring an immediate response. As an example, a red alert just came in (at the time of this writing) for a dangerously high temperature on an air cooler in a 7 Series tractor. The recommendation was to reduce engine speed and load, and check the cooling system for debris. Instead of getting a call from the driver, you can now see all machine alert information over the internet as it comes in. Or...

JDLink has a feature called “Service ADVISOR Remote” that helps improve equipment diagnostics. It allows technicians to run diagnostic tests and set diagnostic recordings remotely from the Fresno Equipment shops. Think of the amount of time involved in a service call, from the initial phone call and scheduling, drive time to the field, time spent finding the equipment, setup time, etc. Now the whole process can take 15 minutes.
